Jesus Reads Webcomics

I'm just gonna come right out with it, I'm not entirely pleased with this strip. As usual, my wordbubble placement is overcrowded, and the lineart is kind of flat. I'm not sure whether the last line trivializes Jesus' death on the cross or not, and the last thing in the world I want to do is trivialize that. Also, it's worth noting that on the whole, people on DA are pretty good about not overreacting to Jesus cartoons.

So why did I make this cartoon anyway? I think we Christians can sometimes be like Jesus' friend there in the Sega-reference Jesus shirt. Just look at all the folks who are up in arms over the Golden Compass without knowing a thing about the movie or book! I think that instead of raising a stink for the sake of raising a stink, fighting stupid ancillary battles, we'd be better off just loving people and realizing that some things aren't as big a deal as we make them.

All you Jesus-drawing cartoonists out there, I made this cartoon for you because I love you guys. To paraphrase Voltaire, I may not always agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
